Night out in the City!

Heeey, what's up?

So today our "adventure" has been in the night. I was tired of trying new sports (although it was very exciting) so yesterday I asked my host family and my friends to do something different today. They said it was okay and that today we would do something special.
At 8pm we have gone to the City and there we have eaten in a Chinese restaurant (delicious!). When it was very dark my host mother has given us some papers with words written on it. Of course it was an adventure in the City! The paper had written on it "Discover the night in London, find two ropes and a hemlet. You will use this tomorrow when we go climbing."
She has given us some clues to figure out where the ropes and the hemlet were.
So in couples we have walked through incredible streets, we have seen tourists asking which is the best way to go to the bus stop, we have bought some souvenirs because soon I'll fly to Spain (what a shame!) and finally we have found a street where there was a rope.

Nights in London are special, trust me! We have met in front of the Big Ben and we all had the ropes and the hemlet.

Finally, my host mother has given us special clothes because... We have done diving in the river Thames in the night! I'm not tired of doing sports and I will never be!

In case you didn't know, London is my favorite place ever. But I guess you already know that.
If you have never been to London, you should go as soon as you can. Reasons? You'll meet a lot of people and if you are a fan of sports (like me) then you'll enjoy a lot.

All the best,

Ivet

Keep your eyes open.

Hi beautiful people!
I'm having the time of my life here in London. I have time to visit the centre, go shopping and try new sports.
Today I have done two extreme sports that I would have never tried because at first when you see people doing them, you think they're a bit weird. But for my surprise, they are so exciting and even more: they make you feel free.
In the morning we have gone to a huge but strange place, where there are two sand slopes and you have to put on skis or a sandboard base and it's like skiing but instead of snow there's sand. It has been such an incredible experience, I mean, in Spain we can't go to places like this. Good idea, right? We should have one of these sand slopes and tourism would increase a lot!
It hasn't been difficult, as I know how to ski and it's quite similar. The only difference is that if you fall off you get dirty, but that's worth it!

Then we have driven to the west of London, where there's a paintball aera. At first I was worried because I though I was too young to play, but people over 10 years of age can play it, so my worries have gone away.
Paintball is... I don't have the words to describe it! You must keep your eyes open and try to win. There's a lot of competition there and you mustn't believe these ones that are not on the same team as you. It's quite  harmful if you aren't careful. For example, I've got two big bruises in my legs.
However, I've had a lot of fun.

My experience here is about to finish... I'm so sad, because if I could, I would live here for ever.
London has so magical places and everytime I stop and think about the people I'm meeting and the experiences I'm having, I don't want to leave.

Sleep well and have fun!

Beach time!

Hello there!
I'm so happy I'm finally able to write in the blog.
As I told you guys, I'm spending a week here in London, and we (my host family and my friends) are trying new sports. Well, that's actually why we are here!
Last day we tried parachuting and rock climbing. Yesterday I felt a bit sick so I spent all day at the City and I went shopping. It was amazing to see all people buying nice clothes.
Today I feel so well, so we have gone to a beach only 2 hours away from London (I say only because here beaches are far away from the centre). There we have tried windsurfing (a combination of surfing and sailing) and guess what! I've fallen off like 10 times... I was so embarrased because all my friends knew how to do it and I was just standing up and falling again. Luckily, my host mother has helped me but I've fallen again.
Then we have tried parasailing. WHAT AN AMAZING SPORT! I can't believe I had never tried this!
Parasailing would be like parachuting but you are towed behind a boat and... I won't tell you more, you must try this.
At the end of our adventure in the beach, we have gone to our houses and we have had a barbecue.

I'm having an amazing time here. I'm looking forward to seeing my friends again tomorrow. I wonder whether tomorrow we are staying in London or we are going somewhere.

Looooots of love! And remember: "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford." -Samuel Johnson.

First day in London

Hi all!
Today I have arrived in London. I'm going to spend a week here, and I'll write as often as I can.
I have done a lot of things so I'm very tired! In the morning I caught a flight to Heathrow and when I arrived, my host family was waiting for me. They're so nice! In the afternoon we have gone to the City (it's magical, you can see people from all around the world and what's more important: you get to see these incredible sights such as Big Ben, London Eye...) and we've gone to the south of London to do parachuting and rock climbing.
When we've arrived, an instructor has given us the special clothes to do the sports. I had never tried parachuting until today! We've gone into a small plane (it has been a bit scary!) and then we have jumped off the plane. Such a great sensation! I have felt like a bird.
If you're one of these people who like extreme sports so much, you must try this!
I'm sure I'll repeat that experience.
Also, as I have said, I've tried rock climbing. To be honest, it hasn't been as exciting as parachuting... Yeah, there's some sense of danger, but that's not the same.
I can't wait to go to have dinner and go to sleep. Have a nice week, I'll write as soon as possible.
